Rye Youth Soccer is staffed and run primarily by volunteers headed by a Board of Directors who oversee policy and operations. Patti Adimari is registrar. Our staff of professional trainers is led by Rich Savage whose experience as a player, coach and soccer instructor adds an invaluable aspect to our program. Rich and his professional staff will make themselves available to intramural coaches each week for support and education. High school students assist as coaches and referees and help set up and break down equipment.
Volunteers are both welcome and necessary to the success of the program! KEEP IN MIND THAT WITHOUT COACHES WE CANNOT HAVE A PROGRAM. The following is a description of the positions needed:
HEAD COACH /ASSISTANT COACH- promote children’s technical skills, soccer tactics and sportsmanlike behavior. Encourage development of a positive soccer experience. Phone assistants and manager prior to opening day to delegate responsibilities. Distribute trophies.
TEAM MANAGER - advise players of weather related cancellations. Communicate drink schedule, equipment required and assist with distribution of jerseys and trophies.
